My early career was in the media, newspapers, radio and television so my knowledge of the media is very, very good.
My knowledge of media buying and strategy was refined during the 80’s and 90’s when I owned one of the largest advertising agencies in Australia and bought millions of dollars of media throughout the world.
During this time I was fortunate to have also learned the importance of negotiation and also strategic planning and integrating creative strategy into strategy to ensure that the client achieved cost effective marketing strategy and brilliant creative that all integrated and complemented.
My years in the US and Canada exposed me to a bigger ocean and I learned from the very best. My belief is that we should never stop learning.
But let’s get back to my track record of success. To highlight this pride I have a number of brands that I am most proud of that I worked on every aspect of the company’s branding, marketing, creative, advertising and strategy for many years.
In 1991 I met with 3 young men who had just opened their 3rd Coffee Shop. I was recommended to them as a brand strategist and we commenced a relationship, which lasted for 12 years – until I left Australia in 2002 and moved to Vancouver Canada.
The brand was and still is The Coffee Club and I am proud to say that I created every aspect of The Coffee Club’s marketing, branding, advertising and strategic positioning during all of this time – including my development of “Where Will I Meet You?” as a creative brand campaign and “Good food, Great Service, Excellent Coffee”. The Coffee Club Directors remain my close friends and are also available as referees.
Other Brands I have worked on for many years include Credit Union Australia, Ideal Electrical Suppliers, Flight Centre Limited USA and Canada as well as Australia and many more market sectors including manufacturers and retailers across various market sectors.
